about

Starry-Eyed, after releasing the debut album [Lo-Fi Dancing Star] in 2005 and presenting dreamy and yet dynamic “Wangsimni Shoegazing,” has come back with the second album [Sweet Night] after 3 years. Starry-Eyed joined the newly rising music label for pop/rock music Electric Muse and poured all their melodies, rhythms and the energy they’ve been keeping for three years, finally completing the second album [Sweet Night]. Starry-Eyed’s new work full of their love for the 90’s indie rock trembles the listeners’ minds quietly and yet passionately.

Starry-Eyed is a band comprised of a guitar (Sub), bass (Mongoo), and drum (Duck). They started from the weariness faithful to shoegazing, and since Mongoo joined they have been producing more dynamic and yet dreamy music with lively rhythm. They have produced the debut album [Lo-Fi Dancing Star] at Ping Pong Sound in 2005, and finished the second album [Sweet Night] after recording for six months.

Starry-Eyed is dedicating affection to the “losers” of the society through the second album [Sweet Night]. And they have been flaunting their newly developed styles different from the debut album three years ago. Starting from the song <Cherry Moon> containing sensible rhythms and riffs, <Smith> reminiscing now-gone pub Smith in Hongdae area, <Midnight Driver> with Min Kang-Mi from the Smiles as a vocal, <We Are the Highlight> with Mongoo as the main singer, <Nasa>, a post rock sound with extensive scales, to <Paprika> unraveling Starry-Eyed’s imagination through strong rhythms and abundant emotions, and <Sweet Night>, <Yellow Season>, <Yurima>, extensions of the first album, Starry-Eyed’s second album includes much more relaxed and diverse expressions.

With the release of second album [Sweet Night], Starry-Eyed gave active performances.
